Fall Norvin Green State Forest Engagement Session, NJ | Veronica & Vinny

Set the scene: An adventurous October hike in New Jersey

Are you looking for a unique engagement session idea, or just love hiking? Well this post may be for you – this session is such a fun one! Veronica and Vinny’s love for nature and hiking sparked their curiosity and they came to me with the idea of a hiking engagement session. If you know me, you know I’m all for my couples making their session about them so I was excited for this! These two found themselves amidst the towering trees and scenic trails of Norvin Green State Forest, ready to capture the magic of their love in the heart of nature. ☀️🌿 As their photographer, I couldn’t have asked for a more adventurous and delightful couple to work with (they were seriously the dream team!!) From the moment we arrived, their energy was infectious, their laughter echoing through the forest as they embraced the thrill of the unknown.

Together, we hiked through the woods, hand in hand, writing a new chapter in their love story with each step. And oh, let’s not forget the moment when the sun began its descent, casting a warm, golden glow over the forest, (talk about perfect timing ⏱️👌). It was like something out of a fairytale, with Veronica and Vinny at the center of it all, their love shining brighter than the sun itself.

Their Love Story

Veronica and Vinny’s love story began in the digital realm of Coffee Meets Bagel, where fate (and a little coaxing from friends and siblings) brought them together in early 2018. Gotta love those supportive friends and siblings nudging them in the right direction!! 💘 Despite a few initial dates that didn’t quite go as planned, they discovered a shared love for hiking, eating, and adventure. Fast forward to 2020, and their friendship blossomed into something more, fueled by countless hikes through national parks, state parks, and everything in between. From Rocky Mountain to Shenandoah, they’ve explored it all, hand in hand, over the past five years. 😊🥾

Now, let’s talk about the proposal – or should I say, proposals? The official story involves Vinny asking Veronica if she wants to “climb all the things, see all the stuffs, and eat all the foods” forever, on Pi Day and in front of their favorite sushi restaurant. Talk about a romantic and delicious moment! But the unofficial proposal? Well, that happened a week prior, in the kitchen during Vinny’s lunch break over leftovers. Ah, the beauty of love in its spontaneous moments! 💍🍣
