Set the Scene: A Beautiful Beachside Celebration at The Avenue

Gina and Theresa’s Summer wedding at The Avenue in Long Branch, NJ, was one of those sweet intimate and fun-filled celebrations that you can’t help but smile about. With ocean views and the iconic Long Branch boardwalk nearby, the vibe was a gorgeous mix of beachy elegance and carefree joy. From matching robes and mimosas in the morning to a carousel ride with their wedding party during portraits, their day was all about love, laughter, and creating special memories.

After spending the morning getting ready with their bridal parties, they had an emotional first look in their suite, followed by separate first looks with their wedding party, who were beaming with excitement. We took some incredible photos on the boardwalk and even got some playful shots by the carousel with the wedding party. The ceremony, overlooking the ocean, was so serene and romantic, setting the stage for their beautiful vows.

These two had one of my favorite entrances to a wedding ceremony. They had plans to enter and walk down the aisle together, however, Theresa ended up making her grand entrance and walked down the aisle alone and when Gina arrived at the start of the aisle they realized what had happened – oops! I love that their ceremony started out with a funny light hearted moment that had their family, friends, loved ones, and even my team and I smiling and laughing with them! Another unique twist about their wedding that I loved was that they decided to skip a formal reception and instead celebrated with a cocktail-hour-style wedding. The cocktail hour style night was a beautiful mix of mingling, heartfelt speeches, and, of course, dancing the night away.

Their Love Story
Gina and Theresa’s story began at work four years ago when they met as flight attendants and instructors in their training center. It wasn’t love at first sight—it was more like love over Wawa. One day, Gina brought in some Wawa, shared it with Theresa, and as Gina says, “from there, it was history!” Fast forward to a game of Rummy 500, which they love playing together whether they’re traveling or just relaxing at home, and Gina dealt a hand that would change everything. Theresa looked at the cards, saw the proposal spelled out, and then her ring was waiting for her. It was personal, unexpected, and so perfectly them.

From the touching first looks to the fun and lighthearted moments (like the cake frosting “exchange” during the cake-cutting!), every detail was filled with love and authenticity. You two have such a fun playful bond, and it was a joy to see that reflected throughout your day. Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and many more rounds of Rummy 500!
