Set the Scene: A Rain-Kissed Celebration at The Lodge at Mountain Springs Lake

Amanda and Michael’s wedding day at The Lodge at Mountain Springs Lake, Pennsylvania, was an unforgettable celebration filled with fun, laughter, and a few unexpected surprises. Nestled in the scenic mountains, the venue provided the perfect backdrop for their special day.

We started the day with Amanda, her sister, her mom, and her bridesmaids as they got ready. Amanda’s white robe paired perfectly with the blue matching pajama sets of her girls—it was such a cute, cozy start to the day! The celebration kicked off with a fun champagne pop, and everyone was all smiles as Amanda and her crew enjoyed the moment together.

Now, let me tell you about the hilarious fake first look! Instead of starting with the traditional first look between Amanda and Michael, we had a surprise up our sleeves—a prank! One of the groomsmen, Mitch, put on a dress and pretended to be Amanda, and Michael’s reaction was priceless. Well, almost priceless—because I may have unintentionally given it away! There was a giant spider on my lens (and if you know me, you know I’m terrified of spiders!). Since Amanda also isn’t a fan of bugs, Michael suspected something was up. Oops! But the laughter was totally worth it.

After the fun, we moved to the real first look by the peaceful pond beside the venue. Michael’s reaction to seeing Amanda in her stunning gown was pure magic. We continued with portraits in a nearby field before their outdoor ceremony began.

The ceremony itself was something out of a fairytale, and just as it started, so did the rain. The gentle rain was beautiful and set a romantic, intimate tone as Amanda and Michael exchanged heartfelt vows. (Honestly, I wish I had recorded them because they were just that sweet.) Their love for each other was so palpable, and I wasn’t the only one who teared up. Right as they walked back up the aisle as the new Mr. and Mrs., bubble guns filled the air with bubbles for their exit, and I was obsessed—it was such a fun and unique touch!

Your was a true celebration of love, laughter, and joy. From Amanda’s early reception dress change to their heartfelt thank-yous to their guests during the reception, every moment was filled with thoughtful touches that reflected just how much you care for each other and their loved ones. The shoe game during the reception was an absolute hit, and let me tell you—the dance floor was wild! I even witnessed a worm dance battle, which was one for the books!
