University of Maryland Graduation Session – BFFs edition!

Emily and Sam’s University of Maryland Graduation Session is seriously one of my favorites to date! Their time at the University of Maryland has been filled with unforgettable experiences and cherished memories. As students at this prestigious institution, they’ve enjoyed the vibrant campus life and rigorous academics that UMD is known for. The University of Maryland, located in College Park, is steeped in history and tradition. Founded in 1856, it has grown into a leading public research university, known for its diverse student body and strong academic programs.

Living so close to the campus myself, within walking distance in fact, I always relish the chance to capture moments at UMD. The campus is not only beautiful, but also offers a variety of stunning backdrops that make every session unique. From the expansive lawns of McKeldin Mall to the vibrant flower beds and historic architecture, it’s a photographer’s dream location.

Emily and Sam’s senior session at the UMD was a memorable one, despite the cloudy skies and occasional drizzle. Their infectious energy and enthusiasm made the day a joy to capture. We were joined by their friend Bailey, who hopped in for a few fun shots. We kicked off our session at the iconic McKeldin Mall, a perfect spot for capturing the essence of campus life.

We had planned to take photos on the field of the SECU stadium, but graduation preparations had the grass covered. No problem for this creative duo! We pivoted to the stands for some dynamic shots before making our way to the beautiful “M” shaped-flower on campus.

The day after their individual session, Emily and Sam joined their friends who are sisters of Tri Delta for a group photo session, which you can check out the here.

Thank you for letting me be part of your senior year celebrations. Your session was filled with joy and laughter, and it was a pleasure to capture these special moments for you. I’m so excited to see where life takes you both. As you step into this new chapter, know that you have the strength and the spirit to achieve anything you set your minds to.
