Set the Scene: Capturing Magic at Perona Farms Refinery

Michelle and Charlie’s wedding at Perona Farms Refinery in Andover Township, New Jersey, was nothing short of magical. The Refinery’s rustic charm provided the perfect backdrop for their love story, and Michelle’s personal touches made the day even more special. It was such a joy to see them again after photographing their engagement session at Cross Estate Gardens in Bernardsville. You can check out their engagement photos here!

One of the highlights of the day was Michelle’s stunning second dress, which she made herself. After the cake cutting at the reception, she changed into her creation, showcasing her talent and adding a personal touch to the evening. But Michelle didn’t stop there; she also DIY’d the ceremony setup, and it was simply gorgeous. Her creativity and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the décor.

Michelle chose to keep her veil a surprise for Charlie, only wearing it when she walked down the aisle. The look on Charlie’s face was priceless when he saw her in her full bridal glory for the first time. It was one of those moments that reminded everyone why weddings are so special. And then there was the incredible Maid of Honor speech by Maria, which had everyone in stitches. She highlighted Michelle’s brilliance (she’s a scientist, after all) and had the entire room laughing and nodding in agreement about her being the smartest person there. 😄

Charlie’s heartfelt speech at the end of the night was the perfect way to wrap up the festivities. He took a moment to thank everyone for celebrating their special day, and it was clear just how much it meant to both of them to have their loved ones there. Plus, the bubble guns pulled out by the Maid of Honor and Best Man for the couple’s first kiss added a whimsical and fun touch to the ceremony – such a cute idea! 🥂

Michelle and Charlie’s journey is filled with love, laughter, and a bit of serendipity. Celebrating her bachelorette party with her in NYC this past summer was an absolute blast. Meeting the important people in her life who stood beside her on her wedding day was such a joy and made capturing their big day even more special.
