Set The Scene: A Day of Love and Laughter at District Winery

Olivia and Kevin’s wedding at District Winery in Washington, DC, on February 24, 2024, was one for the books. It was fun, it was laid-back, and it was filled with so much love. I went in solo, but by the end of the day, I felt like a guest, thanks to how warm and welcoming Olivia, Kevin, and their families were. You know those weddings where everyone is just so chill and happy? Yeah, it was one of those.

District Winery is a stunning spot near the Anacostia River with scenic views of the waterfront, and Olivia and Kevin knew just how to use it. Their first look on the balcony was so sweet, and get this: the Ice Yards event was happening below, so when they stepped out, the entire crowd cheered for them! Talk about a unique start to a wedding day. It was like the city itself was celebrating them. 🙌

The wedding was filled with unforgettable moments. The dance floor was on fire, and those first dances with their parents? So, so sweet. I couldn’t help but get swept up in the emotion of it all. You know that feeling when everyone is smiling, and the whole room feels warm and happy? That was this wedding. It was just pure joy from start to finish. 🥳

Their Love Story

Kevin proposed to Olivia at home, surprising her with sweets from their favorite bakery and a ton of flowers. It’s little things like that—those personal touches—that make their engagement day feel so special. They originally met during freshman year at American University, where they were on the same dorm floor. What’s awesome is that Olivia’s roommate from back then was their officiant. Talk about full circle! These two were friends for a while, and after spending more time together, they started dating. They share a love for movies, ramen, and travel, which is why they’re so excited about their upcoming honeymoon in the South of France and Amsterdam.
