Set the scene: A bright May morning celebrating Shannon!

This was such a special session to me! I’ve known Shannon since she was the sweetest little elementary school girl on my baton twirling team. Shannon and I reconnected when I was shooting Shannon & Spencer’s wedding at The Gramercy at Lakeside Manor where she was working. I mean this in the most positive way ever – she has not changed since those twirling days because as soon as I saw her at the venue, I was like “omg that’s Shannon!!” and when we chatted she was just as kind as I remembered! Shannon is a girl of many talents and accomplishments. After graduation she is heading to Stockton University to study elementary education with a focus in English. Her dream job is being a second grade teacher!

For this graduation session location, Shannon was deciding between her high school’s campus and somewhere with a tall grassy field. So instead of having to choose 1, we did both! Her high school’s football field was where we began her sunrise session showing off some of her many talents, field hockey and track (featuring her track varsity jacket, running shoes and field hockey stick.) If you know me, you know I’m all about bringing things that highlight who YOU are to your session! After we ventured to Thompson Park in Lincroft, NJ to capture some MAGICALLL photos of Shannon who believe it or not, this was her first time taking professional photos! She was a natural in front of the camera.
