Set the Scene: An Elegant Summer Wedding at The Meadow Wood, NJ

Javier and Brian’s Summer Wedding at The Meadow Wood was a true testament to love, teamwork, and the joy of sharing life’s special moments with the people who matter most. They kicked off the day by getting ready together, which is honestly one of my favorite things couples can do. Not only does it help shake off those wedding-day jitters, but it also allows you to savor the excitement of your big day side by side.

Now, let’s talk about the little hiccup: Javier’s suit wasn’t in the bag when it was returned to them—ugh, right? But with a few quick calls and some wedding-day magic, the suit company came through, and Javier was all set in time. (There’s always something that doesn’t go as planned on a wedding day, but these two handled it like champs!)

Rain was in the forecast and it almostttt held out for us! We lucked out just enough to capture some gorgeous couple’s portraits of Javier and Brian, and portraits with their wedding party before the rain started. These two and their crew were so much fun—I think we all laughed the entire time. With the rain starting this meant they had to make a tough decision to move their ceremony inside. The Meadow Wood’s elegant indoor space turned out to be the perfect cozy setting for what was about to be a heartfelt and emotional ceremony.

Their ceremony was packed with so many emotional moments that tugged at my heart. Both Javier and Brian were walked down the aisle by their parents, which was such a beautiful touch. I have to give a shoutout to Javier’s parents, who came up to support him when he got emotional during his vows. It was one of those moments where you could feel the love in the room. Add in a close friend officiating, and it felt like the ceremony was uniquely theirs from start to finish.

After sealing the deal with their first kiss, these two stole a few minutes for themselves before heading to cocktail hour. But not before I grabbed them for some quick newlywed portraits (I mean, come on, those first few moments as a married couple deserve to be captured). These photos? Some of my all-time faves.

The reception was nothing short of a PARTY! Javier and Brian made their grand entrance with their wedding party hyping them up on the dance floor, and their first dance was a total showstopper—complete with sparklers going off behind them. From the moment the music started, the dance floor was packed. Like, I’m pretty sure no one sat down the entire night. It was amazing to see so many people celebrating and showing love to these two.

One of the highlights for me? Their Maids of Honor (aka their sisters) gave the sweetest, most heartfelt speeches. Hearing their stories and seeing the bond they share with Javier and Brian made it clear just how much love surrounds these two. And then there was the dessert room… I mean, wow. Calling it chocolate heaven would be an understatement—it was the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable day.
